My New Puppy, Kieran

Once upon a time there was a girl (me) who wanted a puppy.

She searched high and low (but mostly on the internet) for the perfect puppy for her little family.

And she found a small Beagle-Corgi-Something mix and fell in love with him. She named him Kieran which means “little dark one.”

He loved to sleep.

And sleep…

And sleep.

He had a lot of toys.

But it was never enough. He would try to steal sticks and things from bigger dogs.

He would run fast outside.

Or just sit.

He never wanted to be left alone so he would sleep in her closet when she was getting ready for the day.

He would even sleep under her computer chair while she was working.

And that’s the story of Kieran, the little black puppy.

Iain Heath created these Lego models as a tribute to master animator and storyteller Hayao Miyazaki. If you are a Miyazaki fan, you will recognize the characters & movies:

My Neighbor Totoro is one of my all time favorite movies. I wrote about a funny Totoro craft a long time ago here, and if you’re looking for a wide range of Totoro crafts, try Craftster.

Happy weekend to you!
